Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about nursing is helping people—it truly fills my soul and gives me peace at the end of the day. Nursing can be challenging, and often we face criticism from administrators, families, or colleagues, but the moments when patients tell me I’ve made them feel at ease remind me why I chose this profession. I focus on creating a relaxed and compassionate environment, helping patients feel comfortable before procedures, and even bringing humor or reassurance when they need it most. Being able to provide that sense of comfort during some of the most difficult moments in their lives is incredibly rewarding, and it’s what makes my work meaningful.
