Shawna Shine, MS, LPC

Shawna Shine, MS, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and founder of Healing Time, a telehealth practice she has led since 2019. At Healing Time, she provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adults seeking support for depression, anxiety, and grief. Serving clients aged 18 to 99, Shawna has developed a modern, fully digital practice that blends clinical expertise with innovative technology, allowing clients to receive seamless, accessible care from the comfort of their own homes.

Shawna began her professional journey in a very different field, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Oklahoma State University and initially working in computer programming. Her strong analytical background later proved invaluable when she transitioned into mental health. Motivated by a desire to provide scientifically grounded guidance, she earned her Master’s in Psychology from MidAmerica Christian University and began practicing as a therapist in 2013. During the global pandemic, she launched her own practice to offer a more ethical, client-centered approach to mental health care, integrating her technical expertise to create a paperless, automated telehealth system that efficiently serves a wide range of clients.

Shawna’s professional training includes certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which enhances her ability to guide clients through recovery and emotional growth. She attributes much of her success to incorporating her faith into her therapeutic philosophy, helping her connect with clients whose values align with her compassionate approach. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys baking and cooking, activities that reflect her nurturing and creative spirit. Looking ahead, Shawna is developing a workbook on healing, scheduled for publication in 2026, accompanied by a podcast to further support individuals on their mental wellness journeys.
