Serena Howard RN, BSN
Serena Howard, RN, BSN, is a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse and Addiction Health Registered Nurse based in the United States. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Boston College. Serena is deeply committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to children, adults, and families, combining clinical expertise with a genuine passion for improving health and well-being.
In addition to her nursing practice, Serena is an accomplished author and educator. She wrote and illustrated the book Charlie Goes to the Emergency Room, designed to demystify the medical environment for children using accurate, child-friendly explanations and illustrations. She actively works in specialized healthcare roles, including pediatric care at Boston College’s Campus School and addiction health in acute detox care, where she provides trauma-informed, judgment-free support to individuals at critical moments in their healthcare journeys.
Outside of her clinical work, Serena channels her creativity into her entrepreneurial venture, Shine by Serena, where she designs and rhinestones custom figure skating competition wear. Her attention to detail and passion for supporting the figure skating community allow her to merge artistry with purpose, helping athletes achieve their personal and competitive goals. Serena continuously seeks opportunities to grow both as a healthcare professional and a creative designer, exemplifying dedication, innovation, and care in every aspect of her work.
