Dr. Sebastian Partesotti is a distinguished Anesthesiologist and systems leader dedicated to optimizing perioperative performance across academic, federal, and community healthcare systems. In his role as Assistant Chief of Anesthesiology at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System, he plays a key leadership role in managing surgical operations for a major medical facility. Utilizing lean methodology and data-driven oversight, he has successfully spearheaded initiatives to enhance operating room efficiency, improve on-time surgical starts, and reduce clinical cancellations.


Clinical Expertise and Education: Dr. Partesotti’s clinical practice is centered on complex cardiac, vascular, and trauma cases. He possesses specialized expertise in regional anesthesia and acute pain management, focusing on the implementation of multimodal, opioid-sparing protocols to improve patient recovery and outcomes. What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the unique opportunity to serve as a patient's primary advocate and safeguard during their most critical moments. There is a profound sense of fulfillment in guiding a patient through the perioperative process, where I can focus on easing their pain and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. By prioritizing meaningful interactions and patient-centered care, I am able to act as a vital safety net, providing both clinical expertise and emotional reassurance when it is needed most.


Equally rewarding is the opportunity to shape the future of my profession through resident education and the training of tomorrow’s doctors. I find great purpose in mentoring the next generation of anesthesiologists, whether through clinical conferences, simulation training, or bedside teaching. Sharing the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my career allows me to contribute to a legacy of clinical excellence and high standards of care.
