Sarah Salib
Sarah Salib is a dedicated school psychologist completing her dual Master’s degree in School Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy/Professional Clinical Counseling at Saint Mary’s College of California, with graduation planned for Spring 2026. She currently serves as a school psychologist intern with the San Francisco Unified School District, providing mental health services, counseling, and psychoeducational assessments to elementary and middle school students. Sarah’s journey into school psychology began with a deeply personal experience from her childhood in Egypt, where she attended Catholic school alongside a friend with mental deficits who was underrepresented and underestimated by the school system. This early experience inspired her passion for supporting children with specific learning disabilities and other challenges, helping them thrive academically and socially.
Throughout her professional experience, Sarah has completed internships and fieldwork across multiple districts, including Orinda Union and Mount Diablo Unified School Districts. She has conducted comprehensive cognitive, neuropsychological, and behavioral assessments, facilitated group sessions for students with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and actively contributed to IEP, SST, and 504 Plan meetings. She holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, is a member of the National Association for School Psychologists, and has developed strong skills in report writing, time management, cross-cultural competency, and evidence-based intervention planning. Her work reflects a commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments for all students.
Beyond her school-based work, Sarah contributes to her community through lectures on parenting and serves as Program Coordinator for the Archdiocese Counseling Program, organizing retreats and facilitating workshops. She is also a member of a choir and a songwriter, recently writing and filming a Christian song, demonstrating her creative and expressive side. Her career approach is characterized by long-term vision and strategic planning, exemplified by her pursuit of the dual master’s degree to expand her scope of practice and open possibilities for private practice in the future. Fluent in both Arabic and English, Sarah continues to combine professional expertise, empathy, and cultural responsiveness to empower students, families, and communities.
