Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I think it's the people. On the counseling side, it's such an honor to be able to hold someone's stories and their narratives. I work with a lot of folks that have experienced traumatic pasts or have had traumatic experiences, and I do that from a trauma-informed somatic therapy space. Being able to hold folks in those moments and see their nervous systems regulate is such a gift. That's one piece, and then on the HR side, being able to help support practices to really make it easier for their clinicians to do this work that is so deeply meaningful from a sustainable space, both for the business financially, but also for the clinician, that's really, really rewarding.
