Ryann Grice, RN, PMHNP-BC
Ryann Grice, RN, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with approximately 16 years of nursing experience and a background in acute care, cardiology, and pharmaceutical quality assurance. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Zoology with a minor in Nutrition from Ohio State University and completed her Nurse Practitioner training at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2023. Ryann’s early career in pharmaceutical quality assurance gave her insight into medication management, but she sought more direct patient care, which led her to pursue nursing and later specialize in psychiatric care. Throughout her nursing career, Ryann worked in acute care and cardiology settings, gaining extensive experience across multiple hospitals and units in Columbus, Ohio. She recognized that psychiatric needs were often overlooked in acute care, leading her to focus on psychiatric mental health. Currently, she provides inpatient psychiatric care for adults, including geriatric patients, at Mount Carmel Behavioral Health and manages complex cases at GuideStar Eldercare, including severe mental illness, dementia, delirium, and substance abuse maintenance. Ryann is committed to holistic, patient-centered care, ensuring psychiatric needs are prioritized to optimize overall health outcomes. Outside of work, she enjoys crochet, photography, and spending quality time with her children. She also has a strong record of volunteer service through the Ohio Medical Reserve Corps, participating in public health initiatives including flu clinics, health screenings, and community education.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I enjoy addressing psychiatric needs in patients that are often overlooked in acute care settings. When psychiatric care is properly managed, patients are calmer, can follow treatment plans more effectively, and are safer overall. Providing that critical support and seeing improvements in patient well-being is incredibly fulfilling.
