Rupal Upadhyay, MD, FAAP

Dr. Rupal Upadhyay, MD, FAAP, is a dedicated pediatrician at Associates in Pediatrics, S.C. in Elgin, Illinois, with over two decades of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive care to children and their families. She is committed to promoting wellness, preventive care, and early intervention, ensuring that every child receives the support and guidance they need to grow and thrive. Dr. Upadhyay earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, and completed her internship and residency at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Prior to medical school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science and Medicine from the University of Chicago, giving her a unique perspective on the intersection of science, ethics, and patient-centered care. Board-certified in pediatrics by The American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Upadhyay focuses on creating a welcoming and compassionate environment for children and their families. Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Upadhyay is actively involved in her community. She serves as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, PTO president, and the President of BStrong Together, advocating for children and families while promoting education and empowerment. These roles reflect her deep commitment to service and leadership outside the exam room. Dr. Upadhyay is affiliated with both Ascension Saint Alexius Hospital and Advocate Sherman Hospital where she collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care in both hospital and outpatient settings.
