Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I have always enjoyed most about medicine is its extraordinary potential to improve human lives. At its core, medicine is about relieving suffering, restoring dignity, and helping people and communities live healthier, fuller lives.

While I began my career in clinical practice, my journey has expanded into healthcare leadership, innovation, and artificial intelligence because I saw an opportunity to make an impact at scale. I realized that by redesigning systems, developing future-ready leaders, and responsibly applying technology, we could improve care not just for one patient at a time, but for entire populations.

For me, the most rewarding part of medicine today is helping shape its future. I enjoy working at the intersection of clinical care, innovation, AI, education, and strategy to help clinicians and health systems prepare for what comes next. Medicine is entering one of the most transformative periods in its history, and I find great purpose in helping ensure that this transformation remains deeply human, ethical, equitable, and focused on better outcomes for patients.

Ultimately, what I enjoy most is the privilege of contributing to a field whose highest calling is service — and the opportunity to help build a better, smarter, more compassionate healthcare system for the future.
