Dr. Mir earned her medical degree from Drexel University in 2021 and holds a Master of Public Health from Yale University, where she focused on reproductive epidemiology. During residency, she received certification in robotic surgery and was awarded the Best Research in Obstetrics Award in 2024. Her training provided extensive exposure to surgical procedures, allowing her to begin independent practice with confidence. She actively teaches residents and medical students from UConn, Quinnipiac, and other affiliated programs, sharing her expertise in minimally invasive techniques and fostering the next generation of OB-GYNs.
Throughout her career, Dr. Mir has maintained a commitment to reproductive justice, health equity, and patient advocacy. She approaches each patient encounter with a feminist lens, ensuring that patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed choices about their care. Her clinical focus spans routine gynecologic care, family planning, obstetrics, and complex surgical procedures, with an emphasis on evidence-based care and holistic support during transformative life events.
Dr. Mir has a particular passion for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic, and hysteroscopic procedures, which promote smaller incisions, reduced pain, faster recovery, and quicker return to daily activities. Her practice integrates advanced surgical skills with compassionate care, helping patients navigate both routine and complex reproductive health challenges. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and remains actively engaged in research and education within the field of women’s health.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mir enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors, particularly hiking, which helps her recharge and maintain balance. Her combination of clinical expertise, dedication to education, and commitment to patient advocacy makes her a trusted provider for diverse patient populations and a respected mentor within the OB-GYN community.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the variety and diversity it offers. Each day is unique, from the patients I see to the procedures I perform. I work with individuals from all different backgrounds, each with their own concerns and questions, and that unpredictability keeps my work engaging and fulfilling. Every day presents new challenges and opportunities, and that keeps me motivated and excited to return to work.
