Renee Rivera, RN, DAS, E-RYT, CLYL is an accomplished Ayurvedic Practitioner based in San Francisco and the founder of Chitta Happens Ayurveda. A graduate of the Ayurvedic Institute of America, Renee has studied under several renowned masters including Dr. Vasant Lad, Swamini Mayatitananda, and Sri Swami Dayananda. Her work reflects a deep integration of traditional Vedic wisdom and modern clinical understanding, helping individuals restore balance through Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation. Renee’s holistic approach embodies her belief that healing occurs when the body, mind, and spirit are aligned in harmony.

Renee is a Vedic Master Educator certified by the Chopra University and a teacher of Primordial Sound Meditation, The Perfect Health Program, and The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga, all certifications earned through the Chopra Center for Wellness in Carlsbad, California. Before devoting her career to Ayurveda, she worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in Home Health Care, assisting thousands of patients with conditions ranging from surgical recovery to end-stage cancer. Her nursing background has cultivated a profound sense of compassion and an ability to connect authentically with people from all walks of life.

Through her own healing journey, Renee discovered the transformative power of Ayurveda, an awakening that inspired her to create a healing space dedicated to natural balance and spiritual renewal. Chitta Happens Ayurveda, founded in 2008, reflects her vision of a sanctuary where ancient Vedic wisdom meets modern wellness practices. Today, Renee continues to guide individuals toward greater vitality, clarity, and peace through personalized Ayurvedic consultations, yoga instruction, and meditation education.
