Regina Kalen Mangus, MSN, BSN, RN, OCN

Regina Kalen Mangus, MSN, BSN, RN, OCN, is an experienced oncology nurse and healthcare leader with 39 years of nursing experience. She currently serves as an Oncology Nurse Navigator at Johnson Memorial Cancer Center in Franklin, Indiana, where she supports patients and families through complex cancer care journeys. Her expertise spans from bedside care to executive leadership, reflecting a career defined by depth, adaptability, and a lifelong commitment to nursing excellence.

Throughout her career, Regina has worked across the full continuum of oncology care, including oncology, hematology, and bone marrow transplant. She considers herself highly experienced in these specialties and has led and supported care in both large systems and smaller community programs. Her professional journey has included serving at the executive level as a vice president, as well as returning to direct patient care as a staff nurse demonstrating her belief in the importance of staying connected to patients while also understanding the broader healthcare system. In her current role, she provides care within a community-based program that treats cancer, blood disorders, and non-cancer conditions such as anemia and thrombocytopenia.

Regina’s passion for nursing began at the age of 10 after watching a St. Jude telethon, where she was inspired by the nurses caring for children with cancer. That moment shaped her lifelong calling to the profession. Today, she continues to bring that same sense of purpose and dedication to her work, remaining deeply committed to her patients, her community, and the field of nursing. She describes herself as someone who is not finished contributing and intends to continue serving until the end of her career, driven by a genuine love for nursing and patient care.
