Rebekah T., PharmD, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where she teaches psychiatric pharmacy courses and facilitates journal clubs and clinical skills laboratories. In addition to her academic role, she maintains a clinical practice site at Eastern Shore Hospital Center, a state psychiatric hospital in Maryland. Dr. Rebekah’s clinical focus centers on psychiatric pharmacy, with particular expertise in antipsychotic therapeutic monitoring and clozapine management, including ANC monitoring. She provides nursing and patient education, offers evidence-based clinical recommendations to providers, and contributes to policy alignment and formulary oversight through committee work, including participation in the PNC committee. Her professional philosophy emphasizes lifelong learning, collaborative practice, and advancing pharmacy’s role within mental health care systems.

She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York, followed by a PGY2 residency in psychiatric pharmacy at Eskenazi Health in collaboration with Purdue University. Dr. Rebekah earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Liberty University. Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the combination of education and psychiatric care. I am passionate about helping patients through evidence-based psychiatric treatment while also teaching and mentoring the next generation of pharmacists. Starting as faculty at the school where I earned my degree is especially meaningful, and I look forward to growing both as an educator and clinician in this role.
