Dr. Raul Sergio Villarreal Jr., MD is a board-certified allergist and immunologist with six years of clinical experience following fellowship training. He is the founder and medical director of Live Oak Allergy, a private practice located in Live Oak, Texas—a close-knit community just north of San Antonio along the I-35 corridor. His practice focuses on comprehensive, patient-centered care in general allergy and immunology, with particular expertise in managing asthma, eczema, food allergies, and other immune-mediated conditions common in the South Texas region.

Dr. Villarreal earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 2015, followed by an internship and residency in internal medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. He then completed his fellowship in allergy and immunology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and an active member of both the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Villarreal has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and occasionally serves as a guest lecturer for physician assistant continuing medical education, covering topics such as asthma and eczema.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Villarreal is committed to improving access to high-quality allergy care for the diverse communities he serves. He attributes his professional success to a strong work ethic, consistency, and a willingness to continually learn and adapt—qualities he believes are essential in a rapidly evolving field like allergy and immunology. Outside of medicine, he enjoys staying active through CrossFit and heated vinyasa yoga, reading, and spending time with his family. He is a proud father of two young children, including a daughter and a son born in December 2024, and values maintaining balance between professional excellence and family life.
