She is a dedicated healthcare leader and clinic owner based in Williamstown, New Jersey, where she provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations. Her clinical focus includes chronic disease management, preventive medicine, cancer screening, and psychiatric care, with an emphasis on improving long-term health outcomes and access to quality healthcare.

With over 16 years of nursing experience and more than a decade in advanced practice, Rashidah has built a strong foundation in both hospital and outpatient settings. Her early career was rooted in emergency medicine, where she developed critical decision-making skills and a deep appreciation for fast-paced, high-acuity care environments. She later transitioned into hospital medicine and value-based care, working across systems where she managed complex patient populations, coordinated interdisciplinary teams, and delivered high-quality inpatient and outpatient care.

As the owner of a family clinic in New Jersey for the past six years, Rashidah has demonstrated strong leadership in developing and expanding healthcare services for her community. Her practice is centered on preventative care, chronic illness management, mental health treatment, and patient education. She is committed to ensuring that patients receive holistic and accessible care, particularly those managing long-term conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, anxiety, and depression.

Rashidah is also deeply committed to mentorship and professional development within the nursing field. Since 2020, she has served as a clinical preceptor for nurse practitioner students, guiding the next generation of advanced practice providers. Her leadership extends to service line development, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration, where she has been recognized for her ability to strengthen clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes in both hospital and community settings.

Driven by a lifelong commitment to service, Rashidah views nursing as both a profession and a calling. She is passionate about addressing healthcare disparities, expanding access to mental health services, and promoting preventive care as a means of reducing avoidable health crises in the community. Through her clinical practice, mentorship, and leadership, she continues to make a meaningful impact on patients, healthcare systems, and the future of advanced nursing practice.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I feel most energized and fulfilled in the emergency department, where every patient presents with a unique situation and I must be ready to respond to anything at any moment. Whether it is a gunshot wound with an uncertain outcome, an unexpected delivery from a pregnant patient, or an elderly individual from a nursing facility requiring urgent stabilization, I value being part of those critical moments that can change or even save a life. There is a profound sense of purpose in witnessing patients recover and knowing I played a role in their outcome. Emergency medicine challenges me professionally, but it is also where I feel most aligned and committed. For me, nursing—especially in emergency care—is a calling rooted in service, compassion, and the opportunity to positively impact my community.
