Raluca Szentes, MSN, APRN, CCRN, FNP-C is a dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner based in Peoria, Arizona, serving patients through Banner Health. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare, she brings a strong clinical foundation and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to digestive health. Raluca currently practices full-time in gastroenterology, helping patients manage complex gastrointestinal conditions while emphasizing education, prevention, and long-term wellness. She is affiliated with Banner Del Webb, Banner Boswell, and Banner Thunderbird medical centers, where she collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care. Raluca’s professional journey began in critical care nursing, where she spent over 12 years as a Critical Care Registered Nurse with Banner Health in Phoenix. During that time, she earned her CCRN certification through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, demonstrating advanced expertise in high-acuity patient care. She later advanced her education at Grand Canyon University, earning both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing with honors. After completing her Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2023, she became board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Prior to her current role, she practiced as a Nurse Practitioner with Arizona Digestive Health, P.C., further refining her specialization in gastroenterology. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to truly improve my patient's health and quality of life. There is something deeply fulfilling about identifying the root cause of a problem, guiding a patient through treatment, and seeing their symptoms resolve. I especially value helping patients not only recover from illness but optimize their overall health - weather it means preventing complications, improving daily functioning, or empowering them with education so they can take control of their own well-being. Being able to build trust, solve complex health issues, and make a meaningful difference in someone's life is what makes practicing medicine so rewarding for me.
