Raeda Cherkaoui
Raeda Cherkaoui is a Registered Nurse at Corewell Health in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she provides compassionate inpatient care to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, including anemia requiring blood transfusions and complications related to PEG tube management. She graduated from Madonna University’s accelerated BSN program in May 2025 and is currently completing her graduate nurse transition courses as she continues to build her clinical expertise. Raeda also holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Honors from Wayne State University, reflecting her lifelong passion for reading and writing, which she continues to enjoy as both a personal interest and a professional strength in communication and patient education.
Raeda’s journey into nursing began early in life with an interest in healthcare, but her passion for patient care truly developed during her academic and clinical experiences. She is driven by the impact she can make when patients feel relieved, receive answers, and are able to transition safely back home with improved health outcomes. Supported by strong teamwork with her colleagues, Raeda is especially passionate about patient advocacy and holistic care. Her long-term professional goal is to work in the NICU, where she hopes to support both newborns and their families during vulnerable moments, providing not only clinical care but emotional reassurance and education for new parents navigating neonatal care.
Beyond her clinical practice, Raeda is also an author of the e-book Sleep Reset in 4 Weeks, published on the WAP website, which provides natural strategies to help professionals and individuals struggling with sleep improve their rest without relying on medication. The book was inspired by her mother’s personal sleep challenges and Raeda’s desire to help others achieve better health through practical wellness education. With a strong foundation in nursing, communication, and patient-centered care, Raeda continues to pursue professional growth while working toward her future goals in neonatal nursing and healthcare education.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I love most about being a nurse is the way patients express their relief and joy when they're finally getting the answers they want or the care that's getting them closer to home. I feel like when a patient is finally about to go home or is about to get answers that they've been struggling to find for a while, seeing how happy they are in that moment is such a big part of what makes this work meaningful to me. That feeling of knowing I've been part of helping them reach that point of relief is incredibly rewarding.
