Quadra Diane Barnes, RN, MSN, is an experienced registered nurse and area manager with 19 years of dedicated service in nephrology and dialysis care. She currently serves as an area manager with Innovative Renal Care while also providing hands-on patient care as an acute dialysis nurse at Banner Medical Center in Arizona. Her dual role allows her to combine clinical expertise with operational leadership, ensuring both high-quality patient care and effective management of dialysis services.

Barnes began her nursing career in 2007 as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Kansas City, Missouri. Driven by a desire to advance her skills and knowledge, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing and later her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University. Demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning, she pursued her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership, graduating in 2024, and is currently working toward her nephrology certification. Her educational journey, marked by determination and perseverance as a single mother, reflects her dedication to professional growth and excellence in nursing.

After relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, in 2020, Barnes’s career reached new heights. She credits her success to the mentorship and guidance she received from leaders who recognized her potential and provided opportunities to expand her leadership abilities. In her current roles, she balances administrative responsibilities with direct patient care, serving as a vital resource for her team during staffing challenges and supporting both hospital-based acute dialysis and outpatient chronic dialysis programs.

Barnes is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and continues to cultivate her expertise in nephrology and dialysis care. Through her leadership, clinical skills, and commitment to patient-centered care, she has become a trusted resource in the field, dedicated to improving the quality of care for dialysis patients while mentoring the next generation of nurses.
