Pushan Prabhakar, MD, MPH
Dr. Pushan Prabhakar is a dedicated Research Associate specializing in Urology Oncology at Baptist Health South Florida in Miami. With a strong background in public health and clinical medicine, he is committed to advancing population health through research, data analysis, and community-focused interventions. Dr. Prabhakar combines his expertise in research methodologies with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for both professional and community audiences.
Before joining Baptist Health, Dr. Prabhakar served as a general practitioner at the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences in India, providing care for uninsured and low-income patients. In this role, he diagnosed and treated a wide range of conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, strokes, tuberculosis, trauma, and obstetrics and gynecology. He also gained valuable experience working on programs that improve the health and safety of interpersonal violence victims through data management, program implementation, and community evaluation.
Dr. Prabhakar earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Public Health Practice from the University of North Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health. His work is driven by a passion for leveraging research and public health expertise to improve healthcare delivery, support underserved populations, and create meaningful, data-driven solutions that improve patient outcomes.
