Peta-Gaye McFarlane, RN

Peta Gaye McFarlane, RN, is a dedicated and versatile nursing professional with over a decade of experience in healthcare. She began her career as a medical laboratory technician, a role she held for eight years, during which she also became a certified phlebotomist. This early experience in laboratory science and patient diagnostics laid the foundation for her clinical expertise and deep understanding of patient care.
Currently, Peta Gaye serves as a staff nurse in the Emergency Observation Unit at Hershey Medical Center, managing complex patient cases that require 24- to 72-hour observation. In addition, she works as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, providing compassionate and critical care to vulnerable patients. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she is a preceptor at Hershey, mentoring new nurses and fostering professional development. She will begin her nurse practitioner program at York College in January, with aspirations to become a family medicine provider and educator.
