Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

Practicing mental health counseling is being able to sit with someone in a real moment and help them make sense of what feels overwhelming. There is something meaningful about watching a person come in feeling confused, discouraged, or emotionally drained and slowly begin to understand themselves more clearly. I appreciate joining the journey of change. I am always grateful that people allow you to see parts of their story. That level of trust is something I do not take lightly. Being able to guide someone toward tools that actually work in their everyday life makes the work feel purposeful. Since every individual processes differently pushes me to keep learning and refining my skills so I can meet people where they are.

At the core, what makes this work rewarding is knowing that small conversations can lead to lasting change reminds me why I chose this field.
