Penny Daugherty, RN, MS, OCN, ONN-CG

Penny Daugherty, RN, MS, OCN, ONN-CG, is a highly accomplished oncology nurse navigator with more than four decades of experience in oncology care, clinical research, and patient advocacy. Currently serving at Immunocine Immunotherapy, Penny plays a vital role in guiding patients through personalized cancer treatment journeys, ensuring they receive compassionate support and evidence-based care at every stage. Her deep clinical knowledge, leadership experience, and patient-centered approach have made her a respected figure in the oncology community and a trusted advocate for individuals navigating complex treatment decisions.
Throughout her extensive career, Penny has held leadership roles at institutions such as Northside Hospital and the Georgia Center for Oncology Research and Education, where she directed clinical research teams and helped develop best practices for cancer care delivery. She has also contributed her expertise to AstraZeneca’s Lecture Bureau, presented at national conferences, and published numerous articles in the *Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship (JONS)*. A lifelong educator, Penny is passionate about mentoring oncology professionals and promoting integrative approaches to patient care that address both physical and emotional well-being.
In addition to her professional work, Penny is deeply involved in advancing the field of oncology navigation through her volunteer leadership with the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+), where she serves as Co-Chair of the Conference Planning Committee. She is also an educational presenter for the Cannabis Nurses Network, advocating for research and education around cannabinoid therapeutics in oncology.
