Dr. Prazak’s journey into medicine was inspired by his own experiences as a baseball player, where injuries helped shape his understanding of musculoskeletal health and recovery. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, where he developed a strong foundation in osteopathic principles and whole-person care. He completed his residency at Memorial Family Medicine in Sugar Land, Texas, gaining broad experience in preventive care, chronic disease management, and continuity of care. His specialized fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Houston Methodist in Willowbrook further honed his skills in non-operative orthopedic care, procedural interventions, and ultrasound-guided techniques.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Prazak is deeply committed to medical education and mentorship. He actively contributes to a Doctor of Physical Therapy program, providing lectures on topics including arthritis, biomechanics, and the management of the throwing shoulder. He has presented at baseball symposiums and engages with trainees and colleagues to advance best practices in musculoskeletal care and sports medicine. His teaching philosophy emphasizes translating complex clinical concepts into practical, evidence-based strategies for both students and practicing clinicians.
Dr. Prazak maintains memberships in several leading professional organizations, including the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. These affiliations reflect his commitment to staying at the forefront of clinical innovation and providing care informed by the latest research. His professional approach integrates osteopathic manipulation, diagnostic ultrasound, and a multidisciplinary model that includes collaboration with physical therapists, athletic trainers, and orthopedic specialists.
Looking ahead, Dr. Prazak is focused on expanding his clinical practice, contributing to a new fellowship program, and exploring opportunities to work with collegiate and professional sports organizations.
