Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I really enjoy the stimulating environment of the cardiovascular ICU. Going from the urgent care setting to this more intense environment has been incredibly rewarding. I get to use a lot of the critical judgment that I've built up over the years and finally put it to use. What drove me to pursue nursing in the first place was wanting to get more experience in the hospital and inpatient setting, and to be more hands-on with patients. As much as I loved being an EMT and working on the ambulance, I wanted that deeper level of patient interaction and care that nursing provides.
