What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I really do like taking care of patients, and I really like being their advocate. If I see a patient that's struggling, I like to help them out and make sure they know I'm there for them. Currently in my position, when I set patients up to go have procedures, I also make sure I'm there the day of the procedure so they have a familiar face. Then I follow up with them when they go home and give them a call to check on them. Patients have told me they really like that continuity of care and having someone that they can reach out to. If I had to sum it up, I would say patient advocacy and I love educating the patients.
