What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I absolutely love every aspect of pediatrics. What really grounds me is seeing children come in super sick and then witnessing their incredible resilience as they bounce back. There's something so special about how the simplest things can make their entire day, like just handing them a sticker. It reminds me that life can be super simple and doesn't have to be as complex as we make it. The pediatric world is truly what grounds me in life. My grandmother was a huge inspiration - I took care of her when she was older, and she always told me to do something that I love to do. I've always loved taking care of people, and while I knew I didn't like working with adults, I found my calling with children. Between my grandmother and my mom, they were huge contributors to my decision to become a nurse, and they never put limits on what I could do.
