Nicholas Trum, MD
Nicholas Trum, MD, is a dedicated outpatient internal medicine primary care physician currently practicing at Benefis Health System in Great Falls, Montana. He is passionate about delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care and values building strong, compassionate relationships with his patients. Dr. Trum enjoys practicing in Montana, where he serves a uniquely diverse and underserved patient population, including Native American, Armed Forces, agricultural, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Trum completed his Internal Medicine residency at Northside Hospital Gwinnett (no longer a resident), where he developed a strong clinical foundation and a deep commitment to comprehensive primary care. He also gained extensive research experience as a Scientific Research Fellow at City of Hope, working under Dr. Christiane Querfeld on studies related to Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma (CTCL), contributing to impactful publications in the field. Additionally, he served as a Visiting Research Scholar at The Feinstein Institute and worked in the UC San Diego School of Medicine’s Shelton Lab, researching autoimmune neuromuscular diseases—experiences that strengthened his background in translational research and medical innovation.
Dr. Trum earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine after completing his undergraduate studies in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego. A lifelong learner with a passion for service, he has volunteered extensively in clinical settings, supporting both emergency and refugee health initiatives. Fluent in English and proficient in Hebrew, Dr. Trum integrates his clinical expertise, research background, and heart for service to make a meaningful impact in the communities he serves.

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the opportunity to play a meaningful role in my patients’ lives. Being a trusted partner in their health journey allows me to make a positive impact, guide them through challenges, and celebrate their successes, which is both rewarding and deeply fulfilling.
