Dr. Nathan Morris is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern based in Maitland, Florida, working through Thriveworks Counseling. With over a year of experience, he brings a unique blend of expertise in sports science, clinical mental health counseling, and a passion for music therapy. His practice is grounded in a holistic philosophy that incorporates “sonic psychology” — the use of music and sound to facilitate healing and personal growth.
Nathan holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. His academic and professional background equips him to support a diverse array of clients, including veterans, athletes, and individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and motivational challenges. His approach emphasizes resilience, personal empowerment, and the therapeutic potential of uncovering and working with the subconscious.
In-person sessions are available at his Maitland office, and he also offers teletherapy to accommodate a wider range of needs. Nathan specializes in trauma and PTSD, stress and coping skills, and individual therapy. He integrates modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches to tailor care uniquely to each client’s journey.
