Nancy Mhangami, MSN, AGPCNP-BC
Nancy Mhangami is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Senior Vice President of Clinical Services at Vitae Health Systems, where she leads clinical operations, provider performance, and quality initiatives that support nurse practitioners caring for patients across multiple states. She is dedicated to delivering exceptional geriatric care and strengthening care teams through clinical support and continuing education.
Nancy’s career in healthcare began when she immigrated from Zimbabwe and entered the field as a certified nursing assistant. This early experience ignited her passion for improving the lives of older adults and inspired her pursuit of advanced nursing practice. Over nearly two decades, she has gained comprehensive experience in long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, dementia and memory care, assisted living, and independent living environments. She has additionally provided post-acute care as a nurse practitioner and conducted in-home health assessments for insurance organizations.
Nancy earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Illinois University and is board-certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. She is recognized for her leadership in clinical education, provider mentorship, and elevating quality standards in long-term care settings.
Looking ahead, Nancy aims to expand her impact beyond direct care and clinical leadership by contributing to healthcare boards and policy initiatives that advance quality care for the aging population. Her professional journey reflects resilience, purpose, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring that older adults receive the dignity and compassion they deserve.
