What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most is definitely helping people and being able to break things down in a way that they can understand. As a phlebotomist, I had patients telling me I should become a nurse because I was assisting them with their needs beyond phlebotomy and directing people in the right direction as far as lab testing. It just came naturally for me to help and advocate for patients, and that's the part of nursing that I enjoy the most - education and advocating. I really love being able to help people communicate clearly and understand their healthcare options without too much emotion getting in the way.
