Monica Englehart

Monica Englehart is a dedicated nursing professional based in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with over six years of healthcare experience. She began her journey in healthcare as a nurse’s aide and steadily advanced through the ranks, becoming an LPN by exemption in 2018, earning her RN credential in 2020, and completing nurse practitioner training just six months ago. Her career reflects a commitment to lifelong learning, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care. Englehart earned her RN credential from Connors State College in Muskogee, Oklahoma, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She then completed a Master of Science in Nursing Education at Western Governors University and advanced practice training as a nurse practitioner through the University of Phoenix. Currently, Monica works full time as a registered nurse at the Veterans Administration rehabilitation floor, where she focuses on fall prevention, safe patient transfers, medication education, and supporting veterans as they regain independence and mobility. In addition, she practices part time as a nurse practitioner with AdvanceMed, conducting in-home assessments for Medicare and Medicaid patients. Her responsibilities include identifying medication discrepancies, providing case management, and assisting patients in navigating financial or logistical barriers to care. Monica’s approach to patient care emphasizes attentiveness, problem-solving, and respect. Inspired by her grandmother’s unrealized dream of becoming a nurse, she is passionate about mentoring and encouraging other nursing students and aides. She believes that success in nursing comes from embracing challenges, stepping out of comfort zones, and maintaining perseverance despite self-doubt. Looking ahead, Englehart aspires to pursue a doctorate in nursing and continue developing her skills in advanced practice, patient advocacy, and mentorship.
