Molly R. Machemehl, MA, LSSP
Meet Molly R Machemehl, a dedicated School Psychologist who brings a unique blend of business compliance experience and educational expertise to her practice. After working in businesses helping with compliance and identifying barriers to entry for students and health hazards in communities where schools were being built, she transitioned into education, starting as a substitute teacher while running a tutoring business that evolved into her school health and safety charity. Teachers at ARD meetings encouraged her to pursue school psychology, a field she had been interested in long before her business career. She was drawn to the wellness and intervention route rather than the pharmaceutical approach, and once she saw the medical community embrace both intervention and collaborative approaches with DOs and MDs, she felt comfortable jumping into school psychology. Now licensed in Texas and Vermont as an LSSP with her MA from Houston Baptist University (now Houston Christian University) and BA from Baylor University, she serves as an adjunct professor at Dallas College while providing school psychology services including play-based evaluations, secondary evaluations, and expert witnessing. Her approach is prevention-based and wellness-driven, focusing on practical, research-based interventions that support students' social, academic, and behavioral needs while maintaining schools as learning environments rather than clinics.
