Misty Shearer, FNP
Misty Shearer, FNP, is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over 26 years of experience in healthcare, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep passion for integrative, patient-centered care. As the founder of Cactus Bloom Wellness in Queen Creek, Arizona, Misty has built a practice that blends traditional medicine with holistic approaches to support the complete well-being of individuals and families. Her mission is to empower patients to take charge of their health by creating personalized treatment plans that nurture both physical and emotional wellness.
Before founding Cactus Bloom Wellness, Misty spent over a decade serving in emergency and acute care settings, where she developed her clinical precision and leadership skills. She worked as an Emergency Room Charge Nurse at Dignity Health, overseeing patient flow and mentoring nursing staff in high-pressure environments.
Prior to that, she spent 11 years with Banner Health, providing exceptional patient care as a registered nurse across multiple departments. Her extensive frontline experience gave her a deep understanding of the patient journey and reinforced her commitment to compassionate, comprehensive care.
After earning her Master’s degree in Family Practice Nursing from Walden University, Misty was inspired to open her own practice—Cactus Bloom Wellness—to offer a fresh, integrative approach to health. Her clinic provides a range of services including primary care, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), weight loss programs, IV hydration and nutrient therapy, and aesthetic treatments such as facials and injectables.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I love most about practicing medicine is seeing people truly transform — not just in their lab results, but in how they feel, function, and live. My greatest fulfillment comes from guiding patients as they make meaningful lifestyle and nutrition changes, and watching their confidence and health return as a result.
I believe medicine is most powerful when it empowers people to take part in their own healing. My role is to listen deeply, treat what’s urgent, and create a plan that helps the body restore balance — often reducing the need for medication as wellness improves. Of course, there are times when medications are necessary, and when used thoughtfully alongside nutrition and lifestyle support, they can be life-changing tools.
Each success story reminds me why I do this work: helping people feel better, live better, and rediscover what it means to thrive — naturally and sustainably.
