Mikayla Grocki, DPT
Mikayla Grocki, PT, DPT, is a dedicated physical therapist currently practicing at Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville, Texas, where she provides inpatient rehabilitation services. Her clinical practice focuses on traumatic brain injury, orthopedic injuries, and trauma care, serving a diverse patient population in a rural hospital setting. Mikayla is committed to helping patients regain function, independence, and quality of life through individualized, evidence-based care.
Mikayla earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with honors in May 2025. During her academic career, she was actively involved in research, serving as a research assistant and fellow in Creighton’s Exercise Science and Physical Therapy departments. She has co-authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and is first author on a paper currently under review. Her dedication to research and evidence-based practice informs her clinical approach and ensures her patients receive the highest quality care.
Prior to her doctoral studies, Mikayla completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Creighton University, where she was a student-athlete on the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer team. Her personal experiences as an athlete, including overcoming a significant injury, inspired her to pursue physical therapy as a career. She aims to guide patients through recovery with the same support, motivation, and expertise that helped her return to play.
Mikayla is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She attributes her success to teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Outside of work, she enjoys fitness, research, and engaging in community and educational initiatives that advance the physical therapy profession.
