Michele Calvin, MAC, LPC, is a dedicated mental health counselor and the founder of Pathways to Empowerment, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri, where she provides compassionate, client-centered therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. With more than a decade of counseling experience and over 22 years working within special education settings, Michele has built a career focused on helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence, accountability, and emotional resilience. Her passion for counseling stems from a lifelong ability to connect with others and support individuals in working through complex personal, relational, and behavioral concerns.

Michele earned her Master of Arts degrees in Guidance Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Reality Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She believes counseling is a deeply personal journey and strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

Throughout her career, Michele has developed specialized expertise in working with adolescents and young individuals, particularly those navigating ADHD, autism spectrum challenges, anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, identity development, and school-related conflicts. She is especially recognized for her effectiveness in supporting children and teens with ADHD and autism, helping them build emotional regulation skills, improve self-awareness, and strengthen interpersonal relationships. In addition to individual therapy, she provides marital, premarital, and family counseling, guiding clients toward healthier communication and stronger relational foundations.

At Pathways to Empowerment, Michele works with clients ages eight and older, emphasizing personal responsibility, present-focused growth, and practical problem-solving strategies. She is particularly passionate about Reality Therapy, which helps clients ground their thoughts in present experiences rather than distorted perceptions, encouraging accountability and constructive change. Michele’s mission is to help individuals move beyond feelings of hopelessness and uncertainty toward empowerment, self-confidence, and emotional well-being, fostering lasting transformation both inside and outside the therapy setting.
