Melissa Deming, RN

Melissa Deming, RN is a seasoned and compassionate registered nurse with more than a decade of experience across pediatrics, hospice, and skilled nursing care. She began her nursing career in 2008, building a foundation in pediatric care that emphasized attention to detail, empathy, and patient-centered service. Over time, she transitioned into hospice nursing, a role that required both clinical expertise and emotional resilience, where she independently managed multiple hospice offices, ensuring patients and families received dignified and attentive care during critical stages of life.

Currently, Melissa serves as a unit manager at a skilled nursing facility providing both nursing and hospital-level care, with a focus on physical therapy and dementia care. In this leadership role, she oversees interdisciplinary teams, coordinates patient care plans, and prioritizes resident well-being. Her approach to management is grounded in advocacy, patience, and mentorship, combining her extensive clinical experience with operational oversight to support both staff and patients. Melissa’s background in accounting, earned from Alfred State College, complements her nursing education from Jamestown Community College, providing her with a unique blend of clinical and administrative insight.

Committed to advancing her professional growth, Melissa aspires to a future Director of Nursing role while continuing to lead, mentor, and enhance patient care in her current position. She is CPR certified and brings a balanced perspective that merges clinical excellence with organizational awareness. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Melissa values family time, especially with her grandchildren, and enjoys cooking and reading. Her dedication, leadership, and compassionate approach to nursing continue to define her positive impact on patients, colleagues, and the broader healthcare community.
