Megan Griffith, PA
Megan Griffith, PA (ASCP), is an accomplished Pathologists’ Assistant and Training Specialist based in Solon, Ohio, with more than seven years of experience at the Cleveland Clinic. After completing her clinical rotation at the Cleveland Clinic and earning her Master of Science from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, she joined the surgical pathology team full-time in 2018. Megan excels in grossing complex surgical cases, performing autopsies, supporting intraoperative consultations, and contributing to a wide range of specialized studies. Her expertise, strong clinical judgment, and commitment to high-quality work make her an invaluable resource in one of the nation’s busiest pathology laboratories.
In 2020, Megan expanded her impact by stepping into the role of Training Specialist, a position she finds deeply fulfilling. She is responsible for training PA students, new hires, and AP pathology residents—bringing clarity, enthusiasm, and leadership to every learning environment. Known for her strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment, streamline workflows, and uphold safety and quality assurance standards, she serves as a dependable leader within the lab. Her passion for professional development and collaborative teamwork has also led her to orchestrate national conference rotations, support operational improvements, and serve as a key point of contact for specimen quality issues.
Megan’s path into pathology is rooted in her early passion for forensic science, inspired by a 270-hour medicolegal death investigation internship at the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office during her undergraduate studies at West Virginia State University. Beyond her clinical responsibilities, she is dedicated to community outreach, regularly engaging with students through career fairs, high school visits, and shadowing opportunities to promote awareness of the pathology field. A natural mentor and leader, Megan has pursued leadership roles throughout her education and career and continues to advocate for peers, support colleagues, and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
