Before joining UF Health Hospital, Mary Thereza gained valuable experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse with Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital, Lanier Rehabilitation Center, and Ascension, where she honed her clinical and leadership skills in patient assessment, care coordination, and treatment planning. Her background also includes serving in community and youth programs, demonstrating her strong commitment to service and mentorship. She approaches her work with compassion and precision, ensuring patients receive the highest level of support and advocacy.
Mary Thereza is currently pursuing her Certification as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), building on her Registered Nurse degree from Jersey College School of Nursing. Dedicated to lifelong learning and professional growth, she stays current with the latest healthcare standards and best practices. Her ultimate goal is to continue advancing in the nursing profession while making a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families through compassionate, evidence-based care.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
Seeing my patients go from zero to 100 and the progress they make on their journey of healing is so fulfilling. I also enjoy being their voice and advocate when they need something, but have no idea how to deliver it.
