Dr. Mary Wellington is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in mental health care, clinical leadership, and patient-centered practice. She currently serves as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at MAVA Medical Group in Spring, Texas, providing comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations. Dr. Wellington began her nursing career in geriatrics, gaining a deep understanding of the complex medical and emotional needs of older adults. She progressed into leadership roles, including Director of Nursing Services and Assistant Director of Nursing, where she oversaw staff development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This early experience in dementia and aging populations shaped her holistic approach to healthcare and laid the foundation for her transition into psychiatric mental health practice.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. Dr. Wellington later completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and post-certification training at Walden University. She is board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and is an active member of professional organizations, including the Nigerian Nurse Practitioner Association (AMHAN NBA).

In her clinical practice, Dr. Wellington provides expert care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She is recognized for her thoughtful medication management, emphasis on therapeutic collaboration, and dedication to achieving meaningful patient outcomes.
