Mariel Lechner, RN, CDCES, is a dedicated Professional Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist working with New York Presbyterian Queens Medical Group. Based in the New York City metropolitan area, she provides expert guidance and compassionate care to individuals with diabetes, helping them navigate complex treatment plans and improve their overall health and well-being. Mariel’s practice emphasizes patient education, advocacy, and empowerment, ensuring that every individual feels supported in their healthcare journey. Mariel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Francis College and a Master of Science in Diabetes Education and Management from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a board-certified CDCES, reflecting her advanced knowledge and commitment to diabetes care. Throughout her career, Mariel has combined clinical expertise with a passion for education, contributing to projects and research on adjunctive therapies in Type 1 Diabetes and evidence-based strategies for weight management and patient outcomes.
