Maricelle Faye Flores, AGPC-NP, BC

Maricelle Flores, AGPC-NP, BC, is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at the UCLA School of Nursing. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on geriatric and adult populations. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maricelle brings cultural sensitivity and personalized attention to her practice, particularly in oncology, women’s health, veterans’ care, and mental health. Her extensive clinical experience spans hospital, outpatient, and home-based care, including infusion therapy, chemotherapy, palliative care, and wound management.

A committed advocate for equity and inclusion in healthcare, Maricelle has led initiatives to dismantle systemic racism and promote culturally competent care within academic and clinical settings. She has participated in research on implicit bias, structural racism, mental health comorbidities in older adults, and advance care planning for patients with terminal illnesses. Maricelle also actively engages in community outreach, offering health education programs that address sexual health, women’s empowerment, and mindfulness practices for diverse populations.

Maricelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in French from San Diego State University and a Master of Science in Primary Care Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from UCLA. She is certified in oncology nursing and holds multiple licenses and professional certifications, including Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider and Basic Life Support.
