Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

I genuinely love what I do and find great fulfillment in helping patients, especially in adult psychiatry where I often see individuals at their most acute stages, such as during psychosis or mania. It is incredibly rewarding to witness their stabilization and recovery, when they regain clarity, express gratitude, and sometimes apologize for their earlier behavior. I also find meaning in supporting many indigent and homeless patients, and I am committed to ensuring they are not discharged without care by connecting them to housing, meals, and community resources to help promote their ongoing stability and well-being.
