Manpreet Bhatia
Manpreet Bhatia has been a dedicated nurse since 2011, bringing compassion, leadership, and clinical expertise to every aspect of her work. Currently serving as the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Ignite Medical Resort, she has spent the past five years working at Ignite, leading teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Her clinical focus includes post-acute, short-term rehabilitation, where she collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care across orthopedic rehabilitation, stroke recovery, cardiac care, pulmonary rehabilitation, wound care and infection management, renal disease, and palliative care. Manpreet is particularly skilled in managing complex geriatric cases, working alongside physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure effective treatment planning and optimal patient outcomes. Manpreet earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in India and is currently advancing her education by pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Leadership and Administration at Herzing University. Her commitment to continuous learning reflects her passion for both clinical excellence and strong healthcare leadership. She is also an active member of The Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the National Association of Indian Nurses of America, staying engaged with the broader nursing community and contributing to the advancement of the profession. Inspired by her mother’s work in public health, Manpreet has viewed nursing as a calling from an early age. During her early nursing education in India, She had the opportunity to actively participate in public health initiatives, including community health camps and door-to-door outreach efforts providing polio vaccinations to children as part of national eradication campaigns. Being part of these efforts and witnessing India become polio-free in 2014 was both meaningful and formative in shaping her commitment to healthcare. This foundation continues to shape her approach to care, emphasizing empathy, dedication, and a deep commitment to helping others. She takes pride not only in supporting her patients through recovery but also in mentoring staff and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment within her organization. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Manpreet enjoys spending time in her garden, where she has cultivated a beautiful and thriving space at home. Gardening provides her with a sense of balance and relaxation, complementing her fast-paced role in healthcare and reflecting the same care and attention she brings to her patients and team.

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
I have felt called to nursing from a young age, driven by a deep desire to help others. My mother’s work in public health played a significant role in shaping that path and continues to inspire me today. While she was not a nurse, her dedication to improving community health instilled in me the values of compassion and service.
For me, nursing is about being present for people during their most vulnerable moments, providing not only clinical care, but also empathy, support, and reassurance when it matters most.
