Makeiah Bynum BSN, RN, is a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student and registered nurse who combines clinical precision with genuine empathy to provide holistic, patient-centered care. With a strong foundation in emergency and critical care nursing, she thrives in both high-pressure hospital environments and one-on-one patient settings, offering stability, understanding, and expertise when it matters most.

Makeiah currently serves as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student and continues her hands-on clinical work as an Emergency Room Nurse and SANE Nurse with the Ouachita Parish Coroner’s Office, Ochsner LSU Health, and St. Francis Medical Center. In addition, she provides home infusion care through Aps Health and Infusion Nursing Services and CureCare, where she focuses on patient comfort and continuity of care.

A lifelong learner and advocate for mental health access, Makeiah has completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Nicholls State University, following her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Capella University. Her mission is to empower patients through education, compassion, and evidence-based interventions that address both the physical and emotional dimensions of wellness.
