Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the ability to improve patient outcomes by combining clinical judgment with systems-level impact. As an Associate Director of Pharmacy, I’m especially fulfilled by ensuring that medication therapy is safe, evidence-based, and accessible—not just for one patient at a time, but across entire populations.

I value the collaborative nature of medicine: working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to solve complex clinical problems and optimize care. I also enjoy mentoring pharmacists and residents, helping them grow into confident clinicians who prioritize patient-centered decision-making.

Ultimately, what motivates me most is knowing that thoughtful medication management and strong clinical leadership can directly enhance quality of care, reduce harm, and make the healthcare system work better for the patients we serve.
