Luke Perry, DO
Luke Perry, DO, is a vascular surgeon with Penn State Health, practicing across multiple hospitals within the Penn State Hershey and Holy Spirit systems in central Pennsylvania. Recently completing his vascular surgery fellowship, he has transitioned into independent practice, providing comprehensive vascular care that includes carotid disease management, aortic aneurysm repair, dialysis access creation, and advanced endovascular interventions. His clinical interests are increasingly focused on chronic limb-threatening ischemia and peripheral arterial disease, with a strong commitment to limb preservation and amputation prevention.
Dr. Perry earned his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg University before obtaining his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) at Virginia Tech. He completed his general surgery residency at Inspira Health Network in New Jersey, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at UT Health San Antonio. In addition to his civilian practice, he serves as a Major in the United States Army Reserve, where he practices as a general surgeon.
Committed to evidence-based medicine and long-term patient relationships, Dr. Perry emphasizes strong clinical outcomes, thoughtful surgical decision-making, and consistent follow-up care. He is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Venous Forum, and VESS. What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?
What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is caring for patients with peripheral arterial disease, who are often medically complex and require broad, thoughtful, and individualized care. There is a constant challenge—and opportunity—to prevent amputations and meaningfully improve quality of life. I’m also energized by how rapidly vascular surgery continues to evolve. Staying current with new technologies, research, and advancements through professional societies and journals is essential, and I value being part of a field that is continually progressing.
