Lorena Quintana Gallion, LCSW

Lorena Quintana Gallion, LCSW, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master Certified Life Coach based in Willis, Texas. She is the founder of Empowerment Life Coaches and Consultants, where she integrates therapeutic expertise with compassionate coaching to help individuals reconnect with their authentic selves. Lorena specializes in supporting accomplished professionals who may appear successful outwardly yet feel overwhelmed, unseen, or disconnected internally. Through a strengths-based, solution-focused approach, she creates a safe and empowering space for clients to gain clarity, build resilience, and align their lives with their true SELF—Soul/Spirit Evolving Loving/Living Freely.

Lorena earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University, graduating with her master’s degree in 2019. Her journey into social work began at age 37 after raising her children and making the courageous decision to return to school. Since beginning her clinical work in 2019 and obtaining her LCSW in 2024, she has served diverse populations in hospice care, substance use education, homeless and children’s shelters, and housing services through the Salvation Army. For the past two years, she has provided online therapy to individuals of all ages and launched her private practice in December 2024.

In addition to her therapy practice, Lorena offers life coaching for individuals and groups, including specialized support for social workers preparing for licensure exams through her Mindfulness Mondays sessions. She is passionate about emotional intelligence, resilience building, and helping clients navigate anxiety, grief, trauma, and life transitions. A published author, Lorena wrote Rosie’s Secret, a guide to help caregivers discuss child sexual abuse prevention, and Cowboy Bill and the 8th Commandment, a children’s story about honesty and integrity. At the heart of her work is a deep belief that when people feel truly heard and safe, they can heal, grow, and rediscover joy from within.

Published Books: 'Rosie's Secret' (self-published approximately 3 years ago, available on Amazon) - A tool for parents and caregivers to have conversations with children about child sexual abuse prevention, written to start, stop and prevent child sexual abuse. The book is based on her personal experience with her daughter and serves as both an empowerment tool and a disclosure tool to help children feel safe discussing uncomfortable situations. 'Cowboy Bill and the 8th Commandment' (currently out of print, plans to republish as a chapter book) - A children's story about a little boy who steals a candy bar and learns about honesty and doing the right thing, with his mother teaching him that God saw his actions. The story emphasizes creating safe space rather than shame when children make mistakes.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about my work is connecting with people and being genuinely present for them, meeting them right where they are. I create a safe environment for them to just be themselves and to help them grow and heal. I think people sometimes just need to be heard and need to feel safe to actually speak. There are so many people on this earth who don't have that, and they're stuck within themselves. When you provide them that safety, they begin to feel safe and explore themselves, and the weight begins to come off. They start learning about themselves, gaining the tools, and finding joy in their lives, finding healing and peace. That's what brings me the greatest satisfaction in this work.
