Lisa Weller is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) with extensive experience in behavioral and mental health. She began her career in 2008 as a Registered Behavior Technician, working primarily with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Over the years, she advanced through roles including Clinical Program Supervisor and Operations Manager, building a strong foundation in behavioral health while observing the significant impact of anxiety on children with developmental challenges.

To better support children and families, Weller pursued advanced education in psychology, earning a Master of Science in Child and Developmental Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021 and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2025. She is currently practicing at LifeGrowth Psychological Services, where she combines her expertise in autism and child development with clinical mental health therapy to help clients manage anxiety, behavioral concerns, and emotional challenges.

Weller conducts psychological assessments for ADHD, ODD, ASD, and other conditions, and provides counseling to children, adolescents, and couples. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT/EFIT), allowing her to support individual growth and strengthen relationships. She develops personalized treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and educates clients on coping strategies, mindfulness, and self-care practices.

Throughout her career, Weller has contributed to program development, staff training, and clinical supervision, emphasizing quality care and evidence-based practices. Her combination of behavioral health experience and clinical counseling expertise allows her to create a safe, client-centered environment where families feel supported and empowered.

With nearly two decades of experience in behavioral and mental health, Lisa Weller is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and families navigate challenges, build meaningful skills, and achieve emotional and relational well-being.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about my work is that it never feels like “work” to me. Since 2008, I have had the privilege of doing what I love every day: working with people, helping them navigate challenges, and supporting them in achieving success. I find great fulfillment in helping clients identify the obstacles that make life difficult for them and guiding them to find solutions that work for themselves. That sense of purpose and passion is what drives me.
