Linda Harvey, LPN

Linda Coley Harvey is a dedicated nurse consultant and wound care specialist with 21 years of experience in nursing. She currently provides mobile wound care services with Skilled Wound Care under Dr. Brennan, serving skilled nursing facilities throughout Mississippi. Each day, she sees up to 60 patients, ensuring comprehensive care that addresses not only wounds but the full spectrum of patients’ needs. Her approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents she serves.

Linda earned her LPN diploma from Hinds Community College in 2003 and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree part-time at the same institution, with an expected graduation date of July 2026. She holds certifications in wound care, IV therapy, and TB care, enabling her to provide thorough, high-quality bedside care. Her commitment to continuing education reflects her belief in staying at the forefront of best practices in nursing and patient care.

Her passion for nursing is deeply personal. Inspired by her mother’s battle with dementia and the example of an aunt who was an LPN, Linda knew from grade school that she wanted to care for others. She attributes her success to her compassion and dedication, striving to ensure every patient feels heard, valued, and cared for in a loving and respectful manner. She is motivated by the trust her patients place in her and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on their health and quality of life.

Beyond direct patient care, Linda is committed to mentoring and educating future healthcare providers. She encourages nurses to provide care from the heart, emphasizing hands-on compassion and patient-centered service. She is an active member of the Mississippi Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Association, where she participates in professional development and educational programs, sharing her expertise and dedication with the next generation of nurses.

Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about practicing medicine is the ability to make a real difference in the lives of others every day. I take pride in being a dependable presence for the residents, knowing they rely on me to walk into the room and provide support, guidance, and care. My ultimate goal is to teach and inspire others to care from the heart—not because they have to, but because they genuinely want to—and to ensure that residents receive the best possible care. For me, it’s not about titles, positions, or recognition; it’s about fostering true quality, hands-on compassion, and education that empowers others to do the same.
