Q

What do you enjoy most about practicing medicine?

What I enjoy most about nursing is the opportunity to help people and positively impact their lives. I take pride in the work I do, and I keep my DAISY Awards as a reminder of the patients whose lives I’ve touched. I love being able to apply my nursing skills in a variety of ways—not only at the bedside but also in my gym, where I can guide patients on diet, exercise, and overall wellness. Combining my personal training expertise with my nursing knowledge allows me to support patients in making meaningful, lasting health changes. Orthopedic nursing is one of my favorite areas when I float to that unit, but what truly drives me is seeing patients recognize their own worth, improve their health, and take steps toward positive change.
